In addition to his legal qualifications Michael holds a Master of Accounting and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Corporate Governance. The combination of his qualifications and experience has him designated as a Risk and Governance Professional, Chartered Secretary and a Fellow of both the Governance Institute of Australia and the Chartered Governance Institute. As a lawyer Michael also specialises in compliance and enjoys working as a relied upon Corporate Lawyer for Startups in Brisbane’s startup ecosystem.
With two decades of professional services experience across management consulting and law, Michael has worked across a very wide range of industries. This background, coupled with qualifications across, IT, Business, Accounting, Science, Law and Corporate Governance enables him to come up to speed very quickly on business operations, and the commercial transactions his clients engage in. Michael prepares quality Legal Documents for Startups and SME’s across a wide range of transactions. He also advises and drafts expert technology contracts from large business, corporate counsel and government agencies. He regularly advises on, reviews and prepares contracts including service, supply and sales agreements, non-disclosure deeds, Intellectual Property Assignment Deeds, software licences and other unique industry specific requirements.
